Guest guest
I just started using Estrace cream this past week. Has it really helped any of you here with the burning and stinging and rawness feeling??? I am so miserable all the time, I can barely walk half the time, and the pain is so great at times. My dr. is having me change to just using it 3x's a week. I had horrible itching, even all over body itching, has this happened to anyone? I see someone said something about pregnancy, is this something you can't do while using this cream? Estrace can be and is, in my case, absorbed internally. I can't use it (peasize amount) more than once a week or I spot. The patient insert info actually does tell that is is absorbable. We are all different. What may affect you, may not affect me and vice versa. spanishmiss430 <spanishmiss430 (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: ,Drs. infuriate me sometimes. Even if they say your hormones are fine, they may not be - it's a very relative thing. And if you just use estrace topically (not inserted in the vagina, but just on the opening) it's not absorbed systemically so it doesn't matter!I am 26, use estrace daily. I am not currently having sex but hope to have sex and babies in the next few years! I will decide what to do about the estrace then. But for right now, it wouldn't hurt you at all, I don't think. A few very sensitive people can't use it even just topically but most of us don't have a problem. You definitely need to get to a better doctor who knows more. I know that feeling of the tight muscle at the opening that you can't get past - PT should really help! I am doing weekly PT and dilators and I am getting much better.Melinda**IF REPLYING TO THIS POST, PLEASE REMOVE ORIGINAL POST, Thanks for your cooperation! *****

Guest guest
- I started using Estrace this week also. I did a search on this site and just typed in Estrace. There are quite a few messages concerning Estrace. One in particular has an article from a doctor who say that the burning and itching we feel when using Estrace is the Vulvar area healing and do not think you are getting a yeast infection. I am so much better in five days. I can't believe how much better I feel and today I did not have any burning or itching and I could not believe how much better I felt. It is amazing how our pain affects our whole body. So good luck and do your research. Judy > > > > , > > Drs. infuriate me sometimes. Guest guest
, Many of us have found that we need to have our estrace compounded, since the base ingredients in the cream can be irritating. I get mine compounded in emu oil, so all I put on my skin is the estradiol in an emu oil base. You should probably think about this as it sounds like your skin is sensitive to the base ingredients. Guest guest
Melinda - Where do you get yours compounded? Do you have to have the prescription written to be compounded? I have never had a prescription compounded and do not know how it works.
