Guest guest
I just went to a funeral yesterday of my daughters father in law. It was a beautiful ceremony and my son in law gave a wonderful eulogy, and things went just like he wanted.I had to reply to you as in 1975 my husband was killed in an accident. He had told me he wanted to be cremated and his ashes spread at our cabin. I was 26 had 3 little children 7,5,2 and was a wreck. We are catholic and it was forbidden then to be cremated. It bothers me to this day that I did not do that, but his parents wouldn't hear of it. My children who are grown adults now no nothing about this. If I was rich I would dig him up and do it now as I am going to be cremated and scattered.I know that everything happens for a reason so I try not to dwell on things but every once in a while I get that twinge of guilt.I know you are still grieving and you should be disappointed if they didn't carry out his wishes but they have to live with that. I know in my heart that my husband knew I was wimp and has forgiven me.I am glad we jerked you out of your lurk. You are in my thoughts and prayers .
