Hi,

You are not alone in the guilty feelings. My daughter's head was bad

too, and she also has torticollis. What I've since realized is that

the torticollis really contributes to the deformed head. Not only

from the favored position, but also from all the pulling from the

affected side. There are differing opinions on whether bone pulls

muscle or muscle pulls bone, but if you look at the research file in

this group there is an article featuring untreated torticollis. The

head and facial deformities get much worse as the person grows

because of all the pulling from the tort side.

It is great she is in therapy. Make sure you stretch her A LOT. Good

luck to you. Make fixing the torticollis your number one priority.

Getting rid of all the tightness will help allow the head (possibly

facial?) asymmetry to get better.

In my previous message I mentioned research on untreated individuals

that is actually in the Torticolliskids Forum

Torticolliskids/

Sorry to mix that up. This would be a good group to join too.
