Guest guest
My immediate thought is gluten and/or other food sensitivities. I say that a lot, but it affects a lot more than we think...and many people get Dxed with fibro. or IBS when they really have food intolerances. Going off gluten is the best thing I ever did, no matter how hard it is. Melinda
Guest guest
Yes, i agree that gluten sensitivity and food allergies are prime contenders as well. Guest guest
Becky, If it is gluten, 2 weeks wouldn't be long enough to be off it anyway...it's very insidious, and while some feel better very quickly, it can take months and months to get gluten out of our systems and heal our gut. Guest guest
Hollis, The test the Pain Management doctor was concerned about was the Free T3 not Total T3. When I get to talk to my gyn about the tests I had done on Thurs I am going to talk to her about the issue of my prolactin levels because of the fact that the test result of the Free T3 indicates that something may be going on with my pituitary gland. Just don't know if that relates to my PCOS (another one of my health issues) or not. Right now, I have to work on tending to my sinuses before Spring gets in to full swing. Thanks for the other test info. I will ask my Pain Management doctor about trying to do the two antibody tests on Mon if I don't forget. Guest guest
Kristy, I was referring to the free T3 as well. Of all the tests, the antibodies and the free T3 are the most useful for assessing your thyroid function. A low FREE T3 is not something to ignore. Hypothyroidism, by the way, can be directly related to sinus problems. Myexema -- an increase in mucin in the tissues -- can cause swelling and " gunky " stagnation in that area (and the rest of the body). When people get their free T3 levels up to the proper levels, all sorts of seemingly unrelated problems like sinusitis, tend to resolve as the metabolic rate returns to normal. Fibromyalgia, often, as well, improves significantly or even resolves.
