Guest guest
There is a medical standard for child bearing age and for menopausal women. My doc wants it below 5, but the sonogram techs have told me that most docs will accept 7 and under in an HRT treated woman - as the HRT plumps up the lining. So.... though your tech may thinki its okay - ur doc may not.I have a family history of uterine and ovarian cancers - my grandmother and two of her sisters died from uterine - so my doc isn't willing to take chances. Despite the godawful side effects of the P's - I'd have to say that I'm glad she doesn't take a chance with my life.Get a copy of the report - its interesting to read. First one I ever had said something like "lots of thick debris to try and see through". My imagination was running wild with that little statement, but it turned out that I had the view done the last day of my period and there was still 'torn' sections of lining bouncing around in the uterus - and the techs could see it. They knew it for what is was, and so did the doc, but me being a novice at such things - well - I was just terrified!!!!If your lining is really low and you are on l.0 mg Vivelle and Estrace, I would say that you are doing really well. I bled 18 days into using l.0 Vivelle WITHOUT Estrace and I'm 59 years old!!!! To this day if I use Estrace more than once a week, - that too will make me bleed.I'm required to get tested every 6 months. Be safe - hormones are nothing to fool with if you are not taking the P ..... so encourage your doc to test you regularly for your own safety and so that nothing stops you from raising those kids!DustyChelle wrote: Dusty, since you go regularly and get your Endometrial lining checked...how do they determine what is considered 'too' much? I had a recent ultrasound and told the tech that I was concerned about the lining build up and she told me it wasn't that thick. This is after 3 months of no period. I know Dee doesn't use the progesterone along with her estrogen...and that it can be done safely if monitored...but again how does your doctor determine safety for thickness?
