Guest guest
Hi Chelle, Arline, Dee, and other good friends. Unfortunately, since my patent royalties ran out and I’m now living on Medicare, I’ve had to spend a lot more time just trying to make a living. “Regular” hearing aids cost over $5,000/pair! -- so I no longer have the free time to read each and every message in Dee’s group, as I did for many years. But I don’t have the heart to throw them away, either. Right now I’m just 2,400 messages “behind”. So, thanks to your backchannel message, I did get inspired to take an hour to read some recent posts, and it was heart-warming to see that many of the same women are still trying to help their sisters deal with this horrible condition. I haven’t talked to my old friend Winnifred in a couple of years (although I still do send her “interesting” clippings from time to time!) I’m pretty sure that the consequences she describes are still true. But they are limited, very limited. In the past few years we’ve found many additional new ways to enhance women’s sexual pleasure. Most of these new forms of pleasure are related to Tantric Sex, and they are described in a new eBook that I wrote with Jim Thomsen, The G Spot In Focus (described in detail on my website, www.DrGSpot.net.) The eBook sells for $19.95 on several websites, or it is available as a “free membership benefit” for reading on line at www.Tantra.com. By far the best way to minimize the consequences of the hysterectomy would be to discuss your concerns IN DETAIL, BEFORE, with your surgeon. By “before” I don’t mean after you’ve been half-anesthetized in the operating room; I mean NOW! If you don’t feel that (s)he is getting your point, it might be worth pointing to a different surgeon. Otherwise, I’m just glad that Avadart has saved me (so far) from Prostate surgery! Dr. , Arline reminded me that you would probably be able to answer some questions for me. I'm supposed to have a hysterectomy next month...and I'm concerned about something I read. I've emailed you personally, because I'm not sure how often you are on Dee's group anymore... I read in Winnifred Cutler's Hysterectomy Book, " Before & After " that when some women climax that the uterus actually contracts also and that after the surgery, well for obvious reasons, that is no longer possible and can diminish climax. My greatest fear right now about the surgery is that it will negatively impact my sex life. Do you have any info...or research articles or anything that might help me sort through this stuff? If you would like you could post anything to me or to Dee's group at vulvardisorders that way, the info might be of help to others also. Most of the women I've corresponded with say they are better after hysterectomy (sexually) and in other ways...but I've also heard horror stories...I've had Endo, v.pain, and IC...but for the last two years...my ability to have sex has been much, much better...due to the use Estrogen. Hey, Winnifred made references in her book to some research you did with Beverly Whipple... pretty neat.... Thanks, Chelle

Guest guest
Wow, maybe I was meant to come back to this forum for just this reason. This is so personal, but i really have to speak out to help all of you. I think I have read some of 's articles, I think 15 years ago I might have been on a website he was in charge of. I am trying to remember but it is not so clear. I have had vulvodynia for 15 years, long time. Anyway,in the meantime I have had breast cancer twice as you all know. For preventive reasons I had it all out, I mean it all. My gyn oncologist said you don't need any of it, I had my ovaries, uterus, cervix, everything gone. I was really scared. I did have a top surgeon. I want to tell you all that I could climax before the surgery and nothing has changed, I still am able to climax. I have to be very honest , it is not as intense in feeling, but the ability is still there. And I am very happy that I had my surgery because hopefully it saved my life and will continue to do so. That is why I am all hung up about the amount of vaginal estrogen I use. Anyway, I just had to comment after reading this letter. It was hard to write this because it was personal but I felt that in the short time I had been on the forum you all have tryed to help me so much, and I wanted to give something back. Hope this helps. Millie RE: Hysterectomy and sex afterwards... Hi Chelle, Arline, Dee, and other good friends.
