Guest guest
I did think on recording my self singing and listening to that with head phones on, but thought better of it because it could put me to sleep in a longer stage then I wish. Guest guest
Hi Mark, Thanks for the update. I had a lot of insomnia after passed away. But I find that if I have a day where I do a lot of vigorous physical exercise or go out walking I will pass out to sleep at night for about 4 hours. Then sometimes after I am awake for a while I will need another short nap. I am working on our house because my son is preparing to remodel our kitchen and I need to clear out the room of everything. Big job. But vigorous exercise is the only way I can deal with grief and get to feeling better. Yes, I love snacking on cherries, grapes, strawberries and melon in the summer. Not quite the quantities you speak of but then I only weigh about 163 now. Right after died I had one weight of 160.8 but that was the very lowest so far. just checking in. > can't sleep. 5 years ago this very evening is when I had my first heart > attack that about done me in. spent the whole month of August in the > hospital that year. maybe it is simply on my mind, even though I don't > feel it is? well wanted to let you guys know my weight is hanging around > 285 the first day of August. can get down to 282 and then back to 288. now > hanging in at 285. sugars are running steadily between 100 and 115 for > more then six weeks now. only using five units twice a day of the novalog > flex pen mix that I got left to use up. in maybe 2 weeks or less I will > start the ten units of lantus once a day. still riding my no where bike > between 90 and 120 minutes a day. one problem this time of the year is all > the fresh fruit and veggies that I can lay my hands on at the farmer's > market and folks with gardens. love to eat fresh veggies and fruit this > time of the year. hate the heat though! one good thing about being retired > is no more working in the heat. 33 years of sucking saw dust down my > throat every day and sweating like a horse I do not miss at all! not even > a small bit. do feel sorry for those fellows that still are there, but > they can retire any time they get tired of it I guess. they say you get > use to working in the heat and cold if you do it long enough. well that > wasn't true for me. froze my butt off in the winter and burned up in the > summer. here in OkC we are enjoying between 100 and 110 degrees for the > past 3 weeks or so. last year we only had sixty days over 100. don't look > like we will beat it this year and that isn't hurting my feelings any. Guest guest
even when I worked in the heat doing heavy work, I still had trouble going to sleep and staying a sleep. has been a problem of mine since I was young. I use to have nightmares as a kid where I would walk and at times run and knock things around in the house. I use to be kind of destructive in these nightmares. funny thing though, I knew what I was doing, but didn't know why or could make my self stop. I had to be slapped around and woke up that way. they sent me to see some so called specialist who said they could help my problems, but they really never helped nothing. seems like staying a sleep through the night is more a problem then going to sleep. also seems like the more tired I am, the harder it is to go to sleep. I'm only 55 right now. so think if I live another 15 years? well I may be able then to stay up for weeks at a time with no sleep! may have to go hang out at the casino all night so I can have something interesting to do. just checking in. > can't sleep. Guest guest
good one Becky. you can also make sure your exercise is several hours before yourbed time, and when you lie down don't distract yourselves with books and electronics and all of that cool stuff we all have. These are things I have read. Don't blame me. haha.
