Guest guest
My son, 17, with UC/PSC had his first ERCP last Wednesday followed by acute pancreatitis and is still hospitalised - hopefully home today. The stent that was left in his centrsl bile duct has to be removed on Feb 14th. I realise none of you have a crystal ball but what are the chances he will get pancreatitis again next week after they remove the stent. Is there another way of removing this thing? Dan's PSC has been silent for 4 years (been busy coping with the UC up til now) until now so this is all new ground for us.Apparent The docs say he has not cirrhosis - but how do they know without a liver biopsy? Are the blood tests good enough? I dont want to put Dan through a liver biopsy right now but I do want the docs to be sure. Many thanks for your help
