Guest guest
You're a sweetie, Janet. I don't see myself being able to get away for SRD. Here's my laundry list of " excuses " : My mother-in-law isn't doing very well, but she is more alert than she was last week. She's 98 years old. My dh isn't doing very well either after his leg surgery. The surgery itself went well. BUT... He hasn't been following doctor's orders and is paying for it now. His leg is sore and red and the reddened area is slightly hotter than the surrounding tissure. So he might be developing an infection. We went to church this morning and he wanted to go out to eat afterwards. So we did. Then he wanted to see his mother, so I drove him over there. On the way home I told him I wanted him to go straight to bed, not even the recliner would do today. He didn't argue! It is totally unlike him not to argue about something like that. He did go straight to bed after grabbing his wireless laptop and has been holed up in there since then. I even cooked him supper and took it to him. He didn't object. That's only about the 3rd time in the last 40+ years he has eaten in bed. That should tell you something. I keep looking at his leg on about hourly basis or every two hours (if he's asleep) to assess it. I will drag him to the ER if I have to, but it seems to be getting a little bit better. I think with all this bedrest it will look better in the morning. The glass is half-full, right? At least there is a hospital nearby! That last part was in reference to the " at least I have a glass " quote. I love that! Going to SRD doesn't look too promising for me this year. I'm going to go read what interesting things the rest of you have written since I last looked. Kathleen > > >>>Kathleen wrote:Nobody from the Valley is going?
