Are you in the SF Bay Area? If so, there are a couple of local companies, one in SF, one in SJ, that do custom helmet paint jobs if you want to go that route. Guest guest
Clear backed stickers work the best because they peal right off. They last about a week. www.stickersgalore.com www.simplystickers.com www.acherryontop.com <beana4499@...> wrote: Have you checked Ebay? Guest guest
I painted my boys to look like Colts helmets. Was a lil easiser than a Raiders helmet b/c colts helmets are white. For the horseshoe on the helmet I just found one online and traced it onto the helmet using a dry erase marker. You should be able to find the Raider logo online then print it and trace. I used the dry erase so that it would come off easy. I just looked at the Raider homepage and if you go to the store u can order the logo stickers for as low as 2.99. Hope this helped. Good luck you the painting. Guest guest
My 6mo old little guy just received his helmet a few days back. We want to paint it to match our fav. football team, the Michigan Wolverines. (Sorry to any Ohio fans out there but yes, GO BLUE!) Anywho! What paint is the best or are there other options too? Thanks in advance for your advice!
Guest guest
I just posted last week about an idea for football helmets. I just painted my son's helmet as a Steelers helmet (you can see his photos under Our Plagio Babies J-Jake W.) and found yellow electrical tape at Home Depot and Lowe's to use as the stripe down the middle. I would think it's pretty close to Maize yellow, more so than it was to Steelers gold, but I used it anyway (on a real Steelers fan would know the difference). You might want to give it a try. Also, just use acrylic paint from 's for the blue. Applying it with a foam brush works really well. And then cover it all with mod podge to protect it from peeling. Have fun decorating!
