What type of band are you using?

Is the band "holding" in some points?

Jen and Luli - 26 months

Left tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA

Has anybody seen improvements towards the end of the time spent in the helmet?

My daughter who is now almost 9 months old has been wearing her

helmet for more than 6 weeks now and while we have been seeing some

results, they are not as significant as we were hoping. Her head is

rounding out some, but the flat spot is still clearly visible. Also,

she has facial assymetries and I can't see any improvement in that

so far. Especially her ears are still off by a lot and her cheeks

are clearly different. She started out 10 mm assymetrie. She hasn't

been scanned since then so I don't know if that number has gone

down, but when they measure her head, the ortho always says that she

is exactly on track and on the growth curve (which to me means that

her head is growing, but her plagio is not getting much better).

I have been reading a lot of posts about early improvements, babies

who have the most improvement within the first few weeks or even

days spent in the helmet. Has anybody seen a lot of improvement

towards the end? She still has about 2 months left before she'll

outgrow the helmet. We are very compliant with the wearing schedule

so that she has the full benefit of the helmet and I don't know of

anything else I could do to make sure she gets the best results. I

guess, I am getting a little worried that the helmet is not really

helping her.
