Guest guest
Val, Could someone like me use HC cream instead of taking it orally or is my replacement dose too high? I want to try and clear up some of my liver issues and toxicity and body odor that it is continuing to cause me.
Guest guest
Some people seem to absorb the cream better than others BUT HC is not processed in the liver that I know of. Pred is but not HC. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
Are you sure about that? I have read repeatedly that it is. Where else would it be processed, I mean, by what organs? Guest guest
HC is absorbed in the gut through the capilaries into the blood stream. Some absorbs in your mouth if you are slwo enough swallowing to let it! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
According to this drug website for Cortef it says primarily in the liver: " Hydrocortisone is metabolized in most tissues, but primarily in the liver to biologically inactive compounds. The half-life of hydrocortisone may be prolonged in patients with hypothyroidism. Inactive metabolites are excreted by the kidneys, primarily as glucuronides and sulfates, but also as unconjugated products. Negligible amounts are excreted in bile. Guest guest
You could do cream on that. I am on 10, 10, 5, 5 right now but was on 15, 10, 5, 5 before. I use measuring spoons from the dollar store and take a knife to smooth off the top any extra cream so I get the same dose each time. Guest guest
You are welcome. That was actually an interesting read for a lot of things. Reading that explains why went I started and increased my HC my urine output increased temporarily. I guess a person's body gets more stable and the kidney excretion goes back to normal since it is used to it then. Cheri -----Original Message----- OK Thanks for finding that! -- . Guest guest
If you try to move over to the cream, do it a bit at a time to see how you react. Teh cream just doesn't work as well for me. I had to use it yesterday (my pharmacy didn't get the rest of my pills in when I thought they would) and I felt awful all day. I finally started adding more cream in 5mg increments until I started feeling a bit better. I ended up taking about 20 mg more of the cream at the end of the day than normal. So it worked, but I definately needed more than with the pills. Cherie Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn.--C.S. > You could do cream on that.
