Guest guest
Val, I thought the whole purpose of taking IsoCort or HC is to give the adrenals a chance to rest and rebuild? Wouldn't she have some sort of cortisol issue if her adrenals are fatigued? Isocort is to treat low cortiosl She should have cortisol tested first. > It IS an adrenal glandular. Are you saying IsoCort is an adrenal glandular as well as cortisol replacement? Guest guest
Yes Isocort is a glandular that contains cortisol. Many glandulars contain cortiosl. But you cn have early adrenal fatigue and have HIGH cortiosl which you should not take more coritosl if this is the case. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Val, I began taking IsoCort at the direction of a naturopath. Looking back, I am quite certain I had high cortisol at night and low cortisol in the day but unfortunately, that was never tested. I used to grind my teeth a lot at night and wake up often. In the morning, I lacked energy. When I had my cortisol tested in December, the AM was high but I had already been on IsoCort for a month. I can tell that my cortisol levels are changing by the fact I wake up easily in the AM and sleep a little better at night. I also stopped grinding my teet and my temps are steady as I posted earlier this week. I hope I am on the right track with my situation since my endo is not treating my adrenals just my thyroid? I will mention to her to have her cortisol checked first. I am not sure what she has done so far. Thanks for your clarification. Debbie > > Yes Isocort is a glandular that contains cortisol.
