Bunnies are very cute, and I've had pet rabbits for 10 years now (my

oldest is 9 and a half). But they aren't all that sweet, let me tell

you. Though always supervised closely when together (cats easily kill

rabbits) I have a 3.5 lb bun who sometimes terrorizes my cats (they

don't seem to know how easily they could kill him but I don't want to

take any chances!, and rabbits can hurt cats too, a friend of ours knows

a rabbit who kicked a cats front teeth out). We had another 3 lb rabbit

who came to us having been abused. He was an aggressive biter, and All

of us were afraid of him. He eventually got to trust us though it took 3

years. And talk about independent personalities! Cats have nothing on

rabbits in that respect. My female cat IS very independent, but her

brother is a total suck up when he isnt' being hyperactive (being

watched for hyperthyroid). Rabbits also, contrary to what I would have

thought, have incredible memories. My deaf bunny learned a hand signal

to come for treats in a day and a half, with very few repetitions.
