Guest guest
Yes Val, he only gave me point 4 mcgs. which I realize is CRAP!! (next to nothing) and I meant to say about 6 mcgs in a 1/4 tab of my cytomel. I was rounding it off since I cut it into 4's and a whole tablet is 25 mcgs. I notice now as time's gone on is what this cytomel does to me is wire me up but not in what seems a hyperthyroid sort of way, but more in a manic sort of way. It's like my brain gets revved up but my heart rate and pulse are fine and not too high. I've gone into this mode now where I cannot sit still and feel all wired up and yet my body still is very fatigued without energy so it can't respond to what the cytomel does and thus I end up laying there feeling sort of out of control. Does any of this make any sense? What is happening here? Guest guest
BTW this is what I was afraid of wiht Blanchard. .4mcg is a sugar pill to pacify oyu. I sincerely doubt that CAN compound that microscopic dose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
No I didn't take any levoxyl today as I decided after yesterday I am not going to take anymore T4 period. I'm going to take his timed release T3 (one a day for now) but knowing it's too weak I took the 1/4 tab cytomel. My sense is and what my body's telling me (besides still needing to get ferritin up higher (which I'm working on) is that I need a higher timed release dose of T3 to start with, e.g. 5 mcgs. to start and then eventually going to 10 mcgs. This is what my body's telling me. It seems the cytomel is too much at once for me because I am so sensitive to it. I don't have a doc to prescribe this and in order to get it, I'd have to become a new patient somewhere where they do this and charge all cash and I don't have it, nor do I have the energy to go thru this again with new doctors. I've got to stick with what I've got and work with Blanchard in hopes he'll increase the timed release for me. Thanks, Re: today's trial OR it could be form the Levo if you are takign it. Guest guest
In two weeks I am to call him and he is to raise the dose. At least then I'll get .8 mcgs. which is better than nothing and then I have an appt. in April and I'll work on him. I also think I need to take literal tidbits of cytomel thru the day like every 5 hours rather than the 1/4 tab which is too much right now. I am sensing though that the light therapy is already helping as well. Today was day 2. Re: today's trial BTW this is what I was afraid of wiht Blanchard. .4mcg is a sugar pill to pacify oyu. Guest guest
, If your ferratin is still low and that is causing at least part of the problem, maybe you should take these 2 weeks until you talk with him again to let it get a bit higher and wait on starting the thyroid meds. That way you would have a supply built up of the thyroid meds to try how you want later. It would also give you a chance to see how the light therapy is working for you without complicating the issue. It is always harder to tell what is causing what if you start or add more than one thing at atime. If you keep trying the thyroid with your iron too low it will stress your adrenals out more and cause you to go backwards and have to start all over again. Those are my thoughts anyway. :-) Cherie Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn.--C.S. > No I didn't take any levoxyl today as I decided after yesterday I > am not going to take anymore T4 period. > I'm going to take his timed release T3 (one a day for now) but > knowing it's too weak I took the 1/4 tab cytomel. > My sense is and what my body's telling me (besides still needing > to get ferritin up higher (which I'm working on) is that I need a > higher timed release dose of T3 to start with, e.g. 5 mcgs. to > start and then eventually going to 10 mcgs. > This is what my body's telling me.
