Guest guest
, if your total cholesterol was 20 you would be dead. Did you mean 200? Cheri -----Original Message----- I am using DHEA cream each in a separate vial (compounded) each vial is 5 mgs. Should I not be using this even though I am very deficient because my HDL is 31 and it could lower it further? My total cholesterol though is 20 so maybe the ratio is what matters. My LDL is very low so that's good. I also have high estrogen and had high testosterone for awhile but I think that's reduced now with hypo. I'd like to get the DHEA up and since I'm sensitive the doc compounded that very low dose of cream for me. Need opinions .
Guest guest
I have never heard and it makes no sense that takign DHEA would lower Cholesterol. Cholesterol is a precursor for DHEA too, so it should actually help raise oyur Cholesterol to take DHEA. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Sorry, I meant 120. That was a typo. I'm the one with the very low total cholesterol (maybe liver stuff). Guest guest
Val, I meant lower my HDL (good cholesterol) because I read it can do that. It's already too low at 31. But, now that you've told me that DHEA would tend to raise my overall cholesterol, that's a good thing and I could really use that. Guest guest
I don't quite get this. If cholesterol is needed to make DHEA, then how will taking DHEA " directly " raise my cholesterol? Guest guest
I really do think it is liver related. I have been able to bring my total cholesterol up and this is only since doing the milk thistle and other herb protocols and various cleanses like parasite cleanses. Plus, not eating things that are bad for my liver (though I do indulge in chocolate now and then which I know isn't good for the adrenal either). Cheri -----Original Message----- Sorry, I meant 120. Guest guest
Cheri, I would be interested in any 'herbal' and 'cleanses' that you have found worthy as far as improving overall health, which may affect thyroid and adrenal issues. Guest guest
Thanks Val, no wonder I was confused...LOL Re: DHEA/Low HDL >>Not directly, but indirectly by not using your body;s cortiosl for the needed DHEA as you are taking it. << SORRUY TYPO should have been by not using the body's cholesterol not cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
I use enzymatic therapy " complete liver cleanse " and although it is a 2 weeks cleanse, I use it continuously. I also do castor oil packs on my liver. RE: DHEA/Low HDL I really do think it is liver related. Guest guest
, Another thing I noticed on the mfr site for the cleanse is it appears to flush cholesterol from the liver > This supplement features ingredients that stimulate bile flow to move > toxins out of the liver, phytosterols to prevent cholesterol from > being reabsorbed, Could this be a direct cause of your far too low cholesterol? sol > > Gikas wrote: > >> I use enzymatic therapy " complete liver cleanse " and although it is a 2 weeks cleanse, I use it continuously.
