Different kids react differently. I know for me, when ever my dd would start to pull at her band I would try and distract her. It can get very tiring - I know! If there is redness then definatly call and/or go see them. It may just be irritating and hopefully they can help!

Son pulling/tugging at helmet and very agitated

My 9-month old started doing this when he was in his helmet 3 weeks

and had just been adjusted`a few days before. He pulls on the "open"

side and seems very upset. I don't see any major red marks. He still

gets one on his forehead on that side even after adjustment, but not

all the time. He does have a bulge above his ear which they tell me is

fluid retention although he hasn't been seen. It it very hard, but

they tell that's "normal". I am calling them again tomorrow, but has

anyone experienced anything like this? His twin doesn't seem to have a

problem with the helmet.

Is the velcro rubbing his ear? I know that annoys my ds. They tried to cut the velcro so it wouldn't be as close to his ear, but it always seems to migrate down to the ear again and the little runs tickle his ear. Also a couple times that I havent gotten the velcro lined up just right the rough part of it rubs on his ear and I can only imagine how uncomfortable that is!
