Guest guest
Ok My son just got his starband yesterday was the first day we wore it for 23 hours. I had to go in for adjustments today beacause when I went to give him a hour break for his helmet at 8:30 I noticed a red spot on the side of his face by his temple it stayed red till 10:30 so I called. He made the adjustments also it made his eye slant down. So for my questions It is still red. have not put the helemt back on it is on 6:50 Has this happen to you? Also the smell how do I keep it under control? besides the rubbing ac. The memmory foam, what is this good for? My son as tort. He likes to sleep on his right side and that is where is flat spot is. I try to move him to the other side but does not really dig it. I used to use the sleep postioners but now that he rolls it is no good. What should I do? Is is ok because the helmet? Any other sugestions for me? my son is 5 months old P.S. Sorry about the typing I am always in a hurry
Guest guest
I would leave the helmet off until the spot is no more than a very soft pink. Also, it should not push his eye nor his ear down in any way. this sounds loose to me and you may need another adjustment. We just poured alchol in the band rather than sponging it in. I would let it soak and I would roll it around on the inside and then I used a rag to sop up the excess. I also let it air dry and we never had a real problem with smell. Your wonderful baby can lay however he wants with the band on. Thats the point that the band does it's own thing while your son does his! One note on my tips- we had a DOCband, so if you are using something else, I don't know that my advice is accurate.
