Guest guest
Hi.Welcome to the board. I'm a long-time member, who lurks a lot, but my son had a scaphocephalic shape, and used the DOCband to gain width and slope. This was in 2000, and Cranial Technologies, Inc. was the only company at the time which offered a molding device for that head shape. Their device is probably different from the one you are using.I know there are several other companies which now offer a molding device for scaphocephalic head shape. I hope things go well for you. My son has a brief bio and pix at the Craniosynostosis and Positional Plagiocephaly Support website, as scaphocephalic shape is pretty rare without a fused suture. My son was breech, and big, and so it happened in-utero (he was also a C-section). His bio can be found at http://www.cappskids.org/CAPPSPlagioKidQuinn.htmGood luck to you. If you have any questions feel free to write here or at tnt@...Kind regards.mom to Quinn, born 11/99, DOCband grad 10/00>------- Original Message ------->From : mrsmitch24[mailto:mrsmitch24@...]>Sent : 4/25/2008 2:03:17 PM>To : Plagiocephaly >Cc : >Subject : RE: scaphocephaly???>>hi every body im new heremy little boy starts with his starlight Bivalved on the 6th of may forhis scaphocephaly, im really looking forward to it, yet i am a littlenervous has anybody else had the same style helmet when were in leedsthey showed me one but it was clear plastic alfies will be made out ofthe same stuff as the starband so not really sure what it will looklike has anybody else had the same helmet ?and could offer any advice---------------------- --------------For more plagio info
