Guest guest
Dear Roe, Can you tell me exactly where the 's Health Food Store is that you mentioned? I live in Park Ridge and am not familiar with the store. Thanks, ne
Guest guest
JoAnne, Thanks for the heads up on 's HF store location. I'm going to try it tomorrow-Saturday!!! I will also go by Butterworth's to ask about bagels. I have to tell you that sometimes we let have a bagel(once every couple weeks) as a treat and see no change in behavior. Dr. Hift had said he was borderline and that the casein was the real kicker for him. Anyway, we'll stop by tomorrow to both places and let you know what we think! ne
Guest guest
ne, 's is my new favorite hfs also. is so so nice and he will order anything for us. I can easily order the lemon soy yogurt ph loves, or the Pamela ginger cookies (hard to find) by the case. He also has a few fish tanks in the store so my kids adore going there. He let the kids feed the fish one day, so he's everyone's personal hero at the moment. OK, here's where it is...on Kinderkamack in Emerson, in the mall with the bowling alley and movie theatre. It's a couple of blocks after Old Hook on Kinderkamack. Coming from Park Ridge, go through the Old Hook light, keep going straight, and you'll see the big mall area on your right. It's in there. PS Have you hounded Butterworth's for bagels yet? I kind of lost momentum when I felt the cross contamination concern might quash sales. Guest guest
JoAnne, Went to visit 's HF store today. Met himself and told him of your personal endorsement. He is a cute sweet guy. I bought some almond butter, Efalex, Pamela's cookies (on sale!) and had a nice chat with him. I brought along and gave him a People Pop lollipop. I tried it too and it wasn't bad. Guess we'll be using that for Halloween treats! I got really motivated today and made the Miss Robens bagels from her mix...YUCK!!! WHo eats this stuff? It was alot of trouble and I did each step exactly right, but the texture and taste are not too hot. I still have to stop by Butterworth's to ask him about the gf bagels, but how is he going to make them taste better? Should I have him try to make a Miss Robens mix first? Or should I get him a wheat flour substitute? Let me know what you think, I want to make it easy for the guy so he stays interested. ne
