Guest guest
Have you merged a yahoo ID with your egroups yet? That might be what's holding you up. Michele am I st*p*d or what????? Ok, I tried again to get to that yahoo page to vote..........it brougt me to some page where I can look for groups to join or whatever, which is not what I wanna do, right? The spot I thought was for signing in is just where you can type in a subject (or whatever) to find groups related to that..........I didn't see anything on the page where I could " sign in " or anything to take me to any " voting page " or anything......Sorry to be so ignorant here, thanks for the help! Guest guest
If you live in the UK, you are probably very confused because Yahoo has *not* merged with eGroups there. Nothing has changed in the UK. Btw, if you don't like what Yahoo has done to eGroups, regardless where you live, you can log on to the UK eGroups at http://www.egroups.co.uk/ and it will work using the email address and password you've always used. For everybody else, you need to go to http://www.egroups.com and follow their instructions to get a Yahoo ID. 1. Read their mumbo jumbo then click 'Link my eGroups account' at the bottom of the page. 2. Enter the email address where you recieve your list emails, and the password you created when you signed up. If you don't remember they will send it to you. 3. You'll be asked to pick a Yahoo ID, which can be difficult because all the good ones have been taken. At this point, I can't give detailed instructions because I already have a Yahoo ID, and I was going through it myself in another window and writing down what I was doing in this one. But once you've picked your ID, you'll have to convert all of your lists to the ID. I am on 8 eGroups lists, so this took me a while, but it wasn't difficult. They will walk you through it. Once that is done, you will be logging in using your Yahoo ID and password, and will likely not recieve duplicate posts anymore. Hope that helps, and just ask if you (anyone) gets lost. -- Gaunt - Logan Wolf due May 9, 2001 Babies come into the world with perfect love and perfect trust. Guest guest
What I did to get to the poll was sign in by clicking on " MY ACCOUNT " then I went back to the original e-mail and clicked on the link for a second time. This took me directly to the poll. Try that to see if it works.
Guest guest
Dang! I was rather enjoying having the old format around. Rats! The site http://www.egroups.co.uk/ still works though... I wonder how long that'll last... -- Gaunt - Logan Wolf due May 9, 2001 Babies come into the world with perfect love and perfect trust.
