Guest guest Posted January 25, 2008 Report Share Posted January 25, 2008 I've had massive diffuse hair loss over the past year and a half or so, but it comes and goes etc. Since starting 5mg of HC in the mornings roughly 10 days or so it seems that if anything my hair loss is increasing and now falling out even more. Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening? By the way I am a male who has very little to no history of MPB in my family and none of it ever happening to anyone this early, i'm 22. plus the loss is all diffuse so im thinking it could be thyroid I dont know though. any insights would be appreciated. Guest guest Posted January 26, 2008 Report Share Posted January 26, 2008 I've lost an incredible amount of hair in the past too and for the last 3 months have been losing hair again....you guys can get away with bald we girls cannot...;-) Anyway.... since i've discovered the " STTM " website and this forum...I've decided to start taking my thyroid sublingually first thing in the morning and at least 1/2 an hour before I take anything else then I take my HC and Hormones...the day after I started doing that...I had no hair plug in the drain and have had no plug until a few days ago when I decided to up my HC on my own. I noticed the day after upping the HC my hair was falling out again....so I also upped my thyroid and now the hair is not falling out again...no hair in the shower or in my hands....So my conclusion is that the Thyroid hormone was not being absorbed into the cells...you need HC to make it do that...so I think when I upped the HC and the hair started falling again...I also need to up the thyroid and that is what I did and the hair has stopped falling again...maybe this info can help????
