Guest guest
Hello, We went yesterday for 's sizing for his starband at Steller. He did ok but I was a wreck. I'm very concerned about the first week or so,taking it on/off, adjusting to it, sleeping, etc. It looks very difficult to put on. any advice? still crys when I put a shirt over his head. Also, I live in Los Angeles on the westside and looking for support/play groups for babies with plagio. Please let me know if you're in the area and interested in starting one. Guest guest
Hi - It does get a lot easier when they start wearing it 23 hours and you only have to take it off once or twice a day. How old is ? Is he sitting up at all or in a high chair yet? If you can remove it and put it on while he's in a high chair, or exersaucer, or sitting between your legs, it can be easier than if they're laying down. You just need to stretch the band open as far as you can, it won't break. I use the side opposite the velcro to lineup the ear hole with my son's ear as a point of reference, and that really helps get it on right the first time. Good luck! I know it's harder on the moms and dads than the babies for the most part. It gets easier! Guest guest
My son got his DOC band on Weds of this week and has NO problems. he slept through the night right away, which he was doing and has not had any problems with redness or wanting it off. It has been easier than i thought to care for him and the helmet. It was hard to adjust the first day to how he looks and to holding him with a bigger head! Other than that, we are all adjusted and it is much better than I thought it would be. Good luck. adjusting the first weeks - Los Angeles Play group Hello,We went yesterday for 's sizing for his starband at Steller. He did ok but I was a wreck.
