Guest guest
Hi Jo- My son was on real table food by the time he started wearing his helmet at 16 months. Spaghetti seems to be messiest meal for him, so I do take it off for those meals. But that's also because we have a DOCBand that's painted, and if it gets stained on the outside, there's nothing I can do because using alcohol will take off the paint. He did get some sauce on the foam part above his eye and it went away after a few cleanings. Have you tried feeding him with it on yet, or have you always taken it off? My son always seemed to be cleanest when I was the one feeding him, it's when they start feeding themselves that it gets way out of control. I'm with you though, I would be afraid to leave it off for longer than an hour on a daily basis. So I guess the only advice I can think of is to clean as you go? Or else avoid carrots and sweet potatoes for meals when he has the band on, cause those are definitely the worst stain offenders. Good luck! Guest guest
Do your best to keep it clean when he's eating, but most food will come off with a good scrub...and if the stain persists, it can mostly likely be grinded off at your next adjustment...at least that was the case for us with the DOC bands...good luck Shenelle Katy, TX > > I'm sorry, I searched but I didn't go back far enough.
