Guest guest
kathy, not only do i remember it, i have several copies of it on records and cd. i was about four years old when it came out but i loved it! the artist was melanie. as for skating or blading, i'll have to just watch. anything that moves faster than my feet makes me nervous! erika 5'2 " , 281.5#, bmi 51 tentative surgery date 5.11.01 11:30 am dr. herron > Hey Guys, > I wanna play too!!! Guest guest
I haven't tried to rollerblade (YET!) but a couple of weeks ago I went to a roller skating rink, rented a pair of rollerskates and had a great time. That was one of the things I've been dreaming to do. I lost about 100 lbs and boy what a difference it makes - I am a new person. Let's all have as much fun as we can - we deserve it!!!! Happy skating, dancing, walking, running, swimming, or whatever.. hugs Christa (from CT) > > > I wanna rollerblade! Guest guest
Rollerblading is great!! It is so much fun and really easy to learn! If you roller skated as a kid you will pick it up in 10 minutes! Go for it! I have 3 pair of rollerblades at home. Be aware that at first your feet will HURT and then after that your ankles will really really HURT until you build up strength in them. Don't give up it is really worth it. I bought regular skates from Target and they held up just fine (I weighed about 270ish and lost down to 250ish) make sure you get the appropriate pads/ helment when you first start out - it is reasonably easy to fall make sure you get wrist guards too. Don't panic you don't have to wear full body armor just protect what is dear (head, wrists, elbows and knees). Best of luck to you! Let us know how it goes!!! I can't wait to get back out rollerblading!! \ Sincerely, Latour March 22, 01 Dr. Current weight 323 > I wanna rollerblade! Guest guest
, In my youth I was a skinny kid who had trophies for speed skating (ice skating). I was much better at that than at roller skating and I have never been on roller blades although the concept of the " blade " seems closer to ice skating than roller skating does. I'm 52 and a fall would probably mean a year or two in traction...I do think our planned " roller Blade Tournament " should be a post op event, don't you??!!!
