Guest guest
I use Celestial Seasonings Caffeine free Green Tea. The taste is very pleasant. Green Tea acts as an antioxidant. Antioxidants fight free-radicals which cause damage to our cells~ cancer. Green tea also flushes the system of toxins. babe > Okay, I know we've talked about green tea and I know it's good for me but I > can't for the life of me remember who used it? Kari and Mom Pudge? Guest guest
Hi Jayne, I'm just now getting to my email so forgive the lateness of this answer. Good Chinese green tea is, first of all a mild diuretic, it's good for the stomach and intestinal tract, has been proven to kill viruses in the mouth, and tracks down free radicals which cause cancer. Free radicals come from the environment, pollution. I have recommended a website, www.republicoftea.com. You can send for a catalog and it tells all about the good qualities of the different teas. They have black tea, green tea, herb tea and a special tea called black tea that comes from Africa and has no caffeine. I love the black tea and when it cools down a little I chug it instead of sipping it. Their tea is a little costly but is wonderful. They also have decaffeinated tea if caffeine keeps you up at night as it does with me. When I first got my catalog I read it from cover to cover. It is so beautiful. Oh yes, you should drink green tea every day and it's even supposed to help you lose weight. When I'm searching for something to nibble on I fix a small pot of tea and kick back and drink it with Splenda. And guess what, I AM losing weight. Love Mom Pudge, who is better late than never pudge@...

Guest guest
It has fluoride which is bad for the thyroid. It usually has caffeine too which is bad for adrenals (unless you get decaf). Cheri -----Original Message----- My anxiety feels worse lately and I'm wondering if it's the green tea I've been drinking on a daily basis. I just read a warning that people with hyperthyroid and anxiety should not drink green tea and I have both. Does anyone else know about this?? . Guest guest
I would not touch green tea. It s full of fluoride. All tea only grows on fuoride rich soils and we certainly fdo not need an endocrine disruptor liek fluoride to consume. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
You would not need engineering...just compost your own soil and test for any fluoride content. Cheri -----Original Message----- How much money could I make if I could make a tea plant (or set of tea plants) that could grow in non-fluoridic soils, or better yet, NOT take up whatever fluoride is in the soil anyway? Of course, this might involve a bit of genetic engineering (unless the fluoride is not ESSENTIAL - in which case some hypothetical tea plant could live without it and a hundred or so crosses might do it), so it wouldn't pass muster with the " no-GM " bunch. No matter how carefully I documented the tea plant pathways and what parts of them I cut out. Not that I know near enough to do any of this (well, traditional play crossing, yes - but that would take far too much time.) Jim .

They are made from > Kathleen...I could just kiss you!! I practically cried myself to sleep last night because I was so depressed by the whole green tea conversation. I can give up green tea...no problem...but I don't think I could give up herbal teas. I already feel so deprived by trying to avoid processed foods and sugar. One of the few things I enjoy right now is a hot cup of chamomile or the like before I go to sleep. I did, however, find a water company nearby that sells 5 gallon bottles of reverse osmosis water for only $3.50/bottle. So I will start buying our water there and I'm happy about that too. Great information people...thank you!
