Guest guest
Don't have a source other than a Doc, but I tried it, it did NOTHING, just like Ambien and Ambien ER does NOTHING. The Lunesta gave me the most horrid awful metallic taste in my mouth.... couldn't even wash the taste away with food or anything. ewwwwwwwwww. Shrink has suggested that I try Restoril/temazapam to alternate meds so I don't build up a tolerance till I can wean off them. Sleep is critical and these 2-3 hours, can cause a person to go wacko... isn't sleep deprivation a form of torture. What is helping me now is klonopin and soma. Yes, klono is a benzo, but will try weaning off again when I get my thyroids in line and tet the Rhodiola and Seiphos suggested. The soma is a muscle relaxer that gives me better results than any of the bazillion sleep meds we've tried. All trazadone did was make me nauseated. Was successfully weaning from klonopin till my brother decided to die. sorry, he was one of the most toxic people I know, but it's still put me into shock. Especially since we have no cause of death yet. I'm sure it was either a viral myocarditis (virus attacking the heart) or medications. He was a jerk to me and my mother, but didn't smoke, didn't drink and didnt' do illegal drugs. Didn't deal with anger or rage very well either. That's why the Order of Protection and now PTSD for me. Hope you can find the relief you need. kc, who actually thinks my sound machine might be helping along with the high protein/fat snack before bed. ps, the sound machine is by homedics, was about $20 and I use the ocean sound. My therapist is working on reprograming my " brain " chemicals using a technique called EMDR. Pretty cool actually. And, yes, my insurance covers it. Guest guest
One thing I was prescribed once that worked was Sonata (Zaleplon). It works similar to benzo's (interaction with the GABA-A receptor), but isn't a benzo structurally, and is more selective than benzos.
