We went to CT for the 3D scan today. They have been doing the 3D scan in the Dallas office for about 3 weeks. This is in place of the casting. They placed a nylon net over his entire head ( i.e. panty hose). They sat him on a stool and held his arms to his side and snapped 4 pictures. He screamed the entire time. Thankfully it just took a few minutes. They showed me the pictures afterwards and then sent us on our way. We were in and out in 30 mins.We will be back on the 25th for band pick-up.

Big Day Tomorrow

Well, we go tomorrow to CT for the scan. We should have the band on the 25th. I am nervous! We adopted our son from Guatemala and he just came home on March 6th. So far, we have just been adjusting to each other and the new routine. Things have been going well so far, so I am a bit anxious about putting him into the band. Especially since I have not had much experience with him yet! Anyway, we believe it is the right thing to do. He apparently spent most of his time in foster care on his back. The back of his head is very flat. We are hoping the band will work and round out his head. He is 10 months old. They estimate he will have to wear it for 10 weeks. I look forward to the day when I can say it is off!

We have UHC, and they are not covering it. Thanks to all who have given us tips on how to appeal w/UHC and for all the tips on decorating. We will definitely be using the advice!
