Guest guest
My doc called in an intial dose of 7.5 mcgs. SR T3 and the compounding pharmacist called me today to confirm. I requested he use an olive oil base and he said he could do that no problem. So I need some guidance and advice because this 7.5 mcgs. of SRT3 is bringing back some VERY bad memories because back in 2005 when I first suspected a thyroid problem but all my tests were always NORMAL, I searched and searched and found out about 's syndrome and went to a practitioner here who did the treatment. She prescribed the 7.5 mcgs. and I started with that and my heart raced horribly and I got awfully scary palps (didn't know anything about adrenals then) and three days of this was what brought out my adrenal insufficiency and left me with much worse compromised adrenals than ever before. So I realize that if I'm on enough cortisol now that this shouldn't happen and of course still getting that ferritin up. My question is: What should I do if I do get the heart racing and the palps? I want to be prepared. Would it be okay to take a propranolol if this happens when I start the SRT3 and would that stop the heart palps/racing? Thanks,
Guest guest
SR should not cause this. Not if it is compounded correctly. The release would be over a 12 hour period. But Propanolol will slow your heart rate. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
