Guest guest
I received my saliva results and don't know what to do. Saliva cortisol from 1/17/08 7-8am 62 (13-24) noon 9 (5-10) 4-5pm 16 (3-8) mdnite 5 (1-4) Cortisol burden 92 (23-42) DHEA 3 (3-10) I believe this is Maladapted Phase I? Saliva Thyroid fTSH 51 Normal 26-85 fT4 .16 low Normal .17-.42 fT3 .32 Normal .28-1.10 TPO negative Saliva Sex hormones Progesterone >1000 Luteal 65-500 Free Test >200 Normal 8-20 E2 estradiol >99 Luteal 7-20 I am on BHRT of 3mg biest, 75mg progesteron, 6mg testerone, transdermally. Blood thyroid from 12/17/07 TSH 2.83 .40-4.50 Free T3 243 230-420 FreeT4 1.20 .80-1.8 Ferritin 24 10-232 I have been having sleep problems for 2+ years, always tired and just not feeling right, down feeling, some of the tiredness was helped with BHRT but not all and still haven't slept right in all this time, go to sleep okay but continually wake throughout night 5-6x. With my adrenals so high what do I do to help them, I got some Isocort while I was waiting for results but now that I have results am afraid to take it because they are so high. I also want to add that in mid January I was told I have mono by EBV tests, have been constantly sick with nose and respit problems for about 2 mos, and doc did a CD 57 blood test and are checking further for Lyme disease, will get results in about another 2 weeks. I am a mess and want to start feeling better. Doctor has me trying Transfer Factor for mono, and am on Allegra and Zyrtec for allergies. I should also add that 2 years ago I was dx with Menieres because of vertigo attacks, ringing in ears and hearing loss in right ear, did tests Ecog, ABR for that and was dx probable Menieres, had week of non ending vertigo and had shunt surgery in summer 2006, tried diuretics and made me feel worse, so for now I only follow low salt diet for it. Can you offer any suggestions on how to get my adrenals down to better values?
Guest guest
Were you on any cortils or glandulars or adrenal support when you tested? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
No I haven't been on any thing other than allegra, zyrtec, musinex d, astelin, the Bios I mentioned (biest, test, and progesterone). I had been on prednisone but it had been over a month ago at time of test. I also take about 1/3 of 12mg ambien cr to help me sleep longer than 3 hrs before I start waking up. Thanks for any help in advance. - In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , wrote: > > Were you on any cortils or glandulars or adrenal support when you tested? > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
the best thing for you to take would be support vitamins and Hormone Free adrenal support and Phosphatidyl Serine. You do nto need HC or Isocort and I feel it would be detrimental to take them. You also should be taking Zinc and DHEA to help lower these levels. I would not bank on the volidity of the saliva testing for the sex hormones especuially as oyu use creams. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Val, had asked me about her labs on the RTH forums and I told her that I thought her progesterone was converting to cortisol, raising her levels - in which case maybe she should cut back on her progesterone dosage? - Janet > the best thing for you to take would be support vitamins and > Hormone Free adrenal support and Phosphatidyl Serine. Guest guest
-Can you recommend a hormone free adrenal support? I have been taking a 50mg B complex, 2500 mg vit C, and bioflavinoids, 1x day multi vitamin, what other vits or sups. beside the PS, DHEA, and zinc would you recommend? If I retest how long should I be on supps before I retest to see if its doing any good? I'm not really worried about the sex hormones, I will see that doc soon and I'm sure he'll do bloodwork since its been awhile. The realthyroidhelp board mods. think I need to start armour but for now I want to get adrenals helped, would rather do this slow and not leave myself open to doing to much at once that I can't determine what's causing what if I have problem esp if I get vertigo. Also would Lyme or mono cause probs with Adrenals? -- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , wrote: > > the best thing for you to take would be support vitamins and > Hormone Free adrenal support and Phosphatidyl Serine. Guest guest
licorice, Ashwagandha, fo ti, Siberian ginseng... Depends on what you are trying to achieve but Ashwagandha (hopefully I spelled it correctly) is a good overall adrenal adaptogen herb. Guest guest
It states HORMONE FREE so the hormones have either been removed or killed in the processing. They cannto wtate that unless it is true. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Thank you for all your input. I have lots to check into. I made an appt to have my sex hormones rechecked, lab draw is tomorrow and dr appt on 2/11. Now if I can get Lyme results soon I will at least know for sure what I'm dealing with. > > Isn't that interesting. Guest guest
Is this a different range on the ferritin than I'm used to looking at?
