Guest guest
I think the lady in the store is full of it! The recommendation is still “Back to Sleep, Tummy to Play”. Molly From: Plagiocephaly [mailto:Plagiocephaly ] On Behalf Of universalg Sent: 4 February 2008 01:24 Plagiocephaly Subject: [sPAM] Returning Member I haven't quite left. Our son graduated from his helmet 16 months ago and I still think about his head shape (I highly recommend the helmet and don't regret it at all, just that we took so long to get into it). It is becoming more of an issue as we are expecting next month. We went to babies r us tonight and they had a sleep positioner by a dr. plagio. the part were the baby's head lies was solid and was not memory foam at all. I think these are pretty new, but does anybody have any experience with them? Also, while we were out, a woman at the store said that the new recommendations are that a baby can sleep on his/her stomach or back from birth. I will check with our ped, but has anyone heard this or is the lady full of it? Thank you,
Guest guest
I agree with Molly. I had a baby six months ago and took several parenting classes. The new slogal now is " Back to Sleep, Tummy to Play. " > > I think the lady in the store is full of it! Guest guest
Our ped. tells us back to sleep, tummy to play now. Maybe she doesn't know. > > > > I think the lady in the store is full of it! Guest guest
I would buy the angel care breathing monitor for about 80 dollars at babies r us. This monitors breathing so you can be sure that whatever way you sleep the baby, you will hear a loud alarm if for some reason she stops breathing for 15 seconds. This has saved me many a sleepless night now that my son 7 months is on his tummy most of the night. Tammy They sell this at babies r us and I would never be able to live without it. It is the best baby product that I ever bought. And I have purchased alot!!!!!! Tammy Best of luck with your new baby and stay positive, you can only do your best plagio can happen even with the most repo and positioning. lka_236 <lka_236@...> wrote: Our ped. tells us back to sleep, tummy to play now. Guest guest
I find it so funny how many things we can't live with out! I think that about our video monitor. They didn't use to have all these cool things to help us feel that our babies were/are safe. And to think when I was born (1979) carseats were just becoming an item to use and they were vinyl. Now, we have ice pack things we lay over our kiddos seats to keep them cool. Anyways, I could go on... > > > > > > I think the lady in the store is full of it! Guest guest
I couldn't agree more. My husband and I both love this monitor. We love the original version, however, it seems to have been replaced by a "deluxe" version at BabiesRUs. This one is about $130. If you can find the original one online--this is probably all you need.
