Guest guest
It appears that YES, you must do the blood work. From what I read, no blood, no saliva thyroid. I see my shrink next week for my blood thyroid results. I'll let you guys know if the blood and saliva agree. Here is the cut and paste from the site. This was effective Jan 20, 2008 according to the site. kc ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NOTICE OF CHANGE IN ORDERING As of January 20, 2008, there is now an additional requirement necessary in order to obtain the thyroid testing by saliva (from Diagnos-Techs Lab only). Therefore please choose one of the following 3 options before sending in your completed test kit. OPTION 1: When mailing your kit back to Diagnos-Techs Lab, please include a copy of one of your prior thyroid blood tests (not more than one year old). OPTION 2: When mailing your kit back to Diagnos-Techs Lab, please include an extra vial containing 1 or 2 CC's of your blood serum. (local medical labs or certain doctors offices can draw your blood and give you a small vial of your blood serum for a modest fee - call your doctors office to find locations where you can have this done). OPTION 3: You may elect to have no thyroid saliva testing done. The Canary Club Diagnos-techs panel will then include only the adrenal and sex hormone testing. The reduced price for this panel (without thyroid) is $109.00. Please indicate that you want only adrenal and sex hormones for $109.00 when sending in the test kit to Diagnos-Techs. Guest guest
You must do the blood if you want the saliva thyroid tests. This isn't good business in my opinion because it forces you to pay for the blood draw and doesn't say if you get those results? Either way they should arrange with labs to cover the cost since they are requiring it. I am going to switch to ZRT. Cheri -----Original Message----- I am thinking that they are just trying to cover themselves. I have seen on maybe the NTH or Iodine list there was talk about screwy tests and some of they people were confronting Diagnos Tech about it, with proof from their recent blood work. So does it specifically say that you MUST do one of these options, or can you just use saliva results? K .
Guest guest
I coupld, but I don't think I'd want to try to go into an artery. Anyway, I'd need a thicker needle - I'm not sure a 29 gauge would do well to go through skin and an artery. Getting blood isn't a problem - I'm sure I can get the local university center to do it - and they only charge 5 for the venipuncture (as oppsed to *25* for the endo..) They might charge a bit more because *I* wanted to blood (and the vial) JIm > Jim you have needles and syringes can;t you take a vial of blood? I > know > I sure can. But i ma sunding my last blood labs to them wiht my > testing > I am doing today.
