Guest guest
Hello all, Some of you know about my misadventures with not-ready-for-the- Internet Elariny. I'm happy to report that I immediately found another surgeon, Dr. Ren of New York City, who performed the BPD/DS laparoscopically on March 2. I'm pleased with her and with her staff. One problem so far: when I woke up in the recovery room, my left foot hurt very much from about the middle of the sole down. It was bad enough that I noticed it before my broken middle or my breathing- tube-lacerated throat. Since then, the top half of the foot has felt numb, though I am able to feel all parts of the foot when I touch it and walking has been no problem. The doctor's office says that this is a compressed nerve, that it must be due to the way I was positioned during the surgery, and that it should clear up on its own. Should it? Has anyone else had a similar problem? KayBee
