Wow.. At that price.. Perhaps a RO filter doesn't make that much

sense. Lets see. $100 a year maintenane cost works out to about 142

gallons. Would I (and cats) drink only 142 gallons in a year?

Ours is in both Kroger and Meijer as they have a brochure explaining

what it removes and it is reverse osmosis.

This may sound silly but I know you can buy RO water at aquatics

stores - I have no idea if it would be cheaper or more expensive.

(It's b/c some fish can't tolerate extremes in pH and RO water avoids

that problem, so people refill their fishtanks with RO water.)

Might be worth checking out...
