Guest guest
Actually, Isocort or HC helps use up whatever thyroid you have in your blood, so lowers your free T3, and theoretically should raise your TSH. That's why you feel more hypo. Barb " flowr_gal " wrote: > > My endo took me off all thyroid meds and wants to retest as I was > unable to tolerate any thyroid medication. Guest guest
Thanks. I knew it must have some impact. I was just strting to fret that it would make my labs appear as though I were less hypo. My endo's theory about my intolerance to thyroid medication is that I may not have needed the thyroid medication or maybe I am really hyper. I don;t really agree with this, as I followed the typical presentation of weak adrenals -- did alright on T4, went over to Armour, had a hard time, was stable for a bout a month and then lost any tolerance for any thyroid med. We shall see in a week or so when I test next. :-) > > > > My endo took me off all thyroid meds and wants to retest as I was > > unable to tolerate any thyroid medication. Guest guest
Did you do saliva labs before starting the Isocort? You need to know how low your cortisol is. Whatever you do, do NOT let your endo put you on anti-hyper medication. Just make sure they test your Free T3. That is the one number that will prove you're low. Your TSH and Free T4 will probably be " in range, " but your Free T3 will most likely be in the low 200s, which is where people feel awful. Barb " flowr_gal " wrote: > > Thanks.
