Guest guest
Is a symtom of low cortisol and it's low stress-tolerance a kind of " vague anger " - not directed AT anything, but just a general " anger at the world " ? (perhaps working up the brain in an attempt to generate ACTH?) And being unusually short and impatient with people? Could this have anything to do with road rage and 'intermittant explosive disorder' - people are just passive in a way because they have AF (perhaps some kind of coping mechanism - trying to ignore stressors) - until they just can't do it anymore and snap. Guest guest
Yes, definitely! For years I have struggled with impatience and easy anger and then with having an eight year old, most of her young childhood I suffered with feelings (and some experssions) of total rage. People say, " take a breath, calm down " etc., but I always felt like I just had no time before I was gone to take that breath. My poor daughter. (I never crossed the line to physical abuse, but I sure came close). I started on HC about 5-6 months ago and it has been life changing for me. I am calm, I am patient, I can address my daughter's misbehavior and irritating behaviors with objectivity (it's just HER being mad after all...lol). It is AMAZING. And my relationship with her is improving so much. Now the only time I feel myself reverting back is PMS time when I usually have a day or two of feeling as I used to (by the way I also regularly had suicidal thoughts) and I hate it. My guess is that millions of misbehaving kids, abusive parents, and also criminals are suffering from adrenal burn-out. (not to say ALL of them, nor that they are not still responsible for their actions!) The other connection is food sensitivities...which can be the cause of the stress on the adrenals in the first place. I just found out that my daughter and I are both gluten and casein sensitive. And i've also figured out that my mom was probably also celiac (died of cancer a few years ago) her whole life and we never knew--she also was full of anger and rage/impatience--now I know why (who needed all that psychotherapy? we just needed HC!) Too bad there's like next to NO really good books out there on this topic. Guest guest
I definitely identify with this. My daughter was a placid child but my son was hyperactive and at times I had to leave the room otherwise I would have killed him. Fortunately I had a warning sign that I was going to lose it, when I started clenching my teeth then I knew I would do him harm if I didn't get some distance between us. I feel sorry for the people who just blow their top without any warning sign that it's going to happen.
