Guest guest
I would not take any more T3 today and take EXTRA HC. This sounds like the adrenals are not using the T3 and soi it is stopped form getting ot the cells. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Val I raised hc to 37.5 and I'm taking 125mcg T3. My temps are coming up but I wanted to ask whether it's normal for one's temp to be raised after working. This week I've been busy scraping off wallpaper (it has about 6 coats of paint on top) and it's hard work. I've been pacing myself only working in the mornings and having frequent rests. My first temp of the day, 3 hours after rising, is 98.2 but the second one is dropping to 97.5 and the third one slightly higher at 97.7 I'm wondering whether the 98.2 is a result of working and is this normal? I could understand if I were running a marathon! Lynda Re: low, low temp need help >I would not take any more T3 today and take EXTRA HC. Guest guest
I bet that 98.2 is about 3 hours after AM T3? That is more likely to be the cause of the raised temps. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Yes it is but I take T3 in 5 doses so why doesn't it also affect the afternoon temp? Maybe it is in response to hc dosing 10 - 7.5 - 5 - 5- 5 -5 Lynda Re: low, low temp need help >I bet that 98.2 is about 3 hours after AM T3? Guest guest
Are you taking more T3 in the AM than the afternoon? I used to do that then found that I also needed mro in the evenign and especially bedftime doses, os if not evenly dosed you might try that. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I take 25mcg every 3 hours 5 times a day including bedtime Lynda Re: low, low temp need help > Are you taking more T3 in the AM than the afternoon? Guest guest
Then it probably is the HC not getting it to the cells evenly. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
ok, do you think I should try 10 - 10 -7.5 - 5 -5 -2.5 that would be a raise of 2.5 making a total of 40 How long is it safe to stay at 40mg? Lynda Re: low, low temp need help > Then it probably is the HC not getting it to the cells evenly. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV >
Guest guest
I think rather than raise that much you should slow the activity down! When temps dip from AM temps that is uaually the cortiosl dipping form using it up too fats, but taking more and more is not good. I would be nervous on 40mg for any length of time at all. Better to slwo down and allow your body time to heal. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
understood but I'm not doing that much, maybe 15 minutes at a time with a long rest between so probably only 1 hour work in total. I've been doing nothing for the last 5 years! Guest guest
I'm waiting at least 20 minutes (and sitting quietly). Considering my morning temp was in the 95s or 96s last week I'm wondering whether 98.2 is a good thing or not if it is induced only by working. I think a higher temp will assist healing Lynda RE: low, low temp need help > That is a lot of activity for someone who hasn't been doing anything > much > for 5 years. It doesn't take much! Guest guest
That is a lot of activity for someone who hasn't been doing anything much for 5 years. It doesn't take much! When you take your temp. how long are you waiting after working before taking it? I know my temp. will raise from walking up and down my stairs or if I've folded a load of laundry. So I try to make sure I'm sitting down for at least 15-20 minutes before taking it so it will be consistent. Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
I agree a higher temps does assist healing but not if it sucks up every bit of cortiosl and leaes you low wiht lower temps after. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
ok, I'll stop the work for the next few days and see if my temp stays up, hopeful that it will Lynda Re: low, low temp need help >I agree a higher temps does assist healing but not if it sucks up >every > bit of cortiosl and leaes you low wiht lower temps after. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV >
Guest guest
I think I've had a breakthrough since I wrote earlier about low, low temps and then again this week about my temp going up after doing a bit of strenuous (to me!) work. I've now tested temps again after not doing any work and my morning temp is maintaining a steady 98.2 and falling slightly later in the day. My average has gone from 96.4 last week to 98.0 this week May be just the thing I need! Lynda
