I notice that when I eat coconut oil with a meal, my heartbeat gets

noticeably faster and I become significantly warmer.

Is this because the coconut oil makes the thyroid work harder? And if

so, is coconut oil " hard " on our adrenals the same way too much Armour

can be?

Or am I just being paranoid??? lol

I don't know but I know that I'm using lots of it and coincidentally my temps

are all high, at the end of the cycle. One time at Whole Foods, one random guy

saw me and my husband considering getting the coconut oil. He got really

animated and with signs and showing us his license, indicated to us he had lost

a lot of weight on coconut oil (he was deaf). This was clear from the picture.

His enthusiasm to get us to get the oil, in this most conservative of settings,

was very touching.

That day, we started using it...

I would say it is because it makes the thyroid work BETTER not harder. From

all I have read it is good for thyroid and in Dr. 's book he

recommends that if you cook with oil, use coconut because it is the best at

high heats.
