Guest guest
Do you have any recommendations on whether/how to take DHEA? I had a complete hysterectomy last yr. and am taking Premarin and feel pretty rough. I supplement with progesterone cream but haven't noticed that it makes a huge difference. I don't know if I am estrogen dominant - I just feel worse than pre-hyst.!! My saliva tests indicate that I am quite DHEA deficient - any advice on supplementing with it? many thanks, (in UK) -- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , > > MsSquarepants wrote: > > Keep in mind DHEA can cause a lot of side effects in some people and if you > > are estrogen dominant and it converts to estrogen, you are making your > > problem worse. Guest guest
Most women should start wiht 5MG daily and I have just learned that sublingual or creams seem to absorb best I would start wiht that and get rested in a couple months to see if that is enough or not. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Dr. said in his experience women did not do well on DHEA but to take progesterone and/or pregnolone instead. You need natural progesterone cream and not progestins which are entirely different (and rough on the body). Hopefully that is what you are using. I do recommend getting his book. Premarin is made from horse urine and a lot of women have issues with it. I don't believe in synthetic sex hormone supplementation personally, only the bioidentical that your pharmacist can mix up or you can even buy over the counter in the cases of progesterone and estrogen. In fact, women do so much better on bioidentical hormones that Wyeth is one of the companies trying to get the FDA to block our access as patients to bioidentical. Wyeth makes Premarin. Their profits have taken a nose dive since women have switched to bioidentical and now they are trying to prevent us from having a choice in the US. This has been going on for a few years now. You can also try 5 mg DHEA and see how it works for you for about 30 days. Cheri -----Original Message----- Do you have any recommendations on whether/how to take DHEA? Guest guest
Hey, I am just saying what I know. It is made of horse urine, bioidentical does work better for a lot of women (apparently not you) but she did say she felt bad...and they ARE trying to prevent us from having a choice because their sales have gone down. I have already been in touch with the FDA on this. Cheri -----Original Message----- Don't knock Premarin unless oyu have tried it!
