Guest guest
Two years ago, I had an estrogen level three times what it should have been, and m progesterone was non existant (seriously, it was a 2!!). I had all the symptoms of estrogine dominance so I started self treating with progesterone cream. 21 days on, 7 days off. Period regular as clockwork. All during this time I was also on 3 grains armour as well as 5 mg. deltacortil. It made me feel much better but after a year I felt like I had probably gotten my levels up and I discontinued the use of it. I stopped having periods that same month, but I had this constant feeling like I " needed " to start, you know how you feel when you are late, crabby, edgy, then you start & it is kind of a release? THat is was I felt every month, like I was gonna start any moment, but didnt. In January, I had all my bloodwork as well as saliva testing. My vitamin levels were low, my ferritin at 30 and potassaium mildly low. My estrogen and progesterone were both right where they should be , so treating with progesterone had helped. Now here is the bad part... My morning adrenals went from the bottom of the range (13) to below it! 8, and I was treating with salt water & delta for a year!!! I starting major iron supplementation and a week later the periods I that had stopped abruptly came back. I had a normal period then two weeks later started again and it is still going. Nothing heavy, but my body does not seem to understand that the period is over! lol. I am wondering why I am having periods like this, and mostly, I want to know what effect progesterone cream has on adrenals. I feel like I want to get back on it, I am 46 and in perimenopause, I know my estrogen goes up & down radically just because I am 46, but I think the reason I am bleeded like this is low progesterone. But, I am scared to take it for fear of making m adrenals even worse~ I am now on 30 mg h/c assuming my prior dose was not high enough. I am attaching my most recent bloodwork and would apprecaite any of your thoughts on my situation. oh, I have also been experiencing a little fluid retention in my legs since increasing to 30 mg, this is uncharactristic of me. one last thing, can ou tell me what stage I am in. the little dot is in a block that I am in does not have a number in it. Guest guest
I don't htink it was the progesterone tht dipped youre adrenals down, but rather too ,low a dose of the Delta. Fo rme I saw onyl worse symptoms until ai got to a high enough dose of adrenal support. My adrenals became worse on 20mg thna they were when I went to 30G. In 30mg I have see=n some pretty good improvements. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Progesterone won't make your adrenals worse. The adrenals use it. If you feel it helps you then add it back in. You can always go slowly and see how you feel on it. You don't sound like you are at risk of overdosing in any way. You are in Stage 4 adrenal fatigue from what you wrote below.
