homocysteine and other tests

I am going to be getting blood work done this week. The doctor put

down a homocysteine test. What I am wondering about is how valid is it

since I am on cortef? Isn't cortef an anti-inflammatory? Also I

suppose I shouldn't take armour for how long before the test? Thanks

for your help.
