Hi - I just got word that my insurance co. actually paid 90% of the

helmet price. I had to pay $1750 up front, so I am waiting now to get

a refund from my dr's office. I actually can't believe they paid

because I am trying to get them to pay for a nebulizer now and they are

needing more documentation. Anyways, I should get back $1575 which is

a blessing! Good luck with your claim!

You're welcome! I know how you feel waiting to see, but just

remember that if your insurance does not pay that it is for the

benefit of your child and that you're doing a great thing. I would

not want my son to have to deal with this later in life. Gunnar is

only 10mm asymmetry, and I know that many of the others are a lot

worse than him. One good thing that Hanger did was they did a scan

that actually showed his head in 3-dimension. I am almost positive

that this is why the insurance paid this claim. You can definitely

tell from the scan that he needs the helmet. Maybe the place that

you are working with can do that for you?

Good luck - Kristi
