Guest guest
I've pondered this myself lately and today the naturopath I'm seeing said the same thing. I was dx with HypoT by my primary doc 2 years ago when I went in b/c of frequent migraines. He ran the usual TSH only test which came back in range but was on the high end. He prescribed Synthroid, which I was on for about 1 1/2 years. My energy was shot and I was gaining weight and had a few other symptoms so I guess that sealed the deal. I have now tried Armour, which I can't tolerate at all, and I'm on an adrenal complex, adaptogen and a few other supplements. I am not taking any thyroid meds now but frankly feeling better in the a.m. than I have felt in years. It doesn't last all day by any means but it's a great change. Is it possible that this has been an adrenal issue all along and that my thryoid hasn't been the problem?? I don't have any other thryoid labs to base this on...
