Licorice Comment and a question.

I recently switched brands of licorice from Nature's Way to Soloray.

The Soloray was on sale and appeared to be identical. The Soloray

did not work for me. I kept having to increase my armour and I was

feeling BAD. I went back to Nature's Way and I am feeling better.

Steer away from Soloray. I am not sure what the difference was but

there was a definite difference.

Now, having said that, can one ever wean off licorice? Will the

adrenals ever work on their own again? I would like one more baby and

I am getting older. I am not sure if I would be risking anything to

get pregnant while on licorice root. I would rather be off of all the

unstudied herbal stuff and just stick with armour. My adrenal fatique

is not all that bad but I cannot live without the licorice right now.

I also cannot tolerate isocort. It hurts my stomach even taking it on

a full stomach. I cannot live with pain like that. Thanks for your

I had a similar experience, switching from Nature's Way to another product...I

also found Nature's Way much better. Don't know if it's an individual

biochemical question or that one product has more GA, the active ingredient in

licoricethan another??

You should also check out Baschetti Licorice from Jace Medical. It is even

stronger. Unfortunately at the moment, Jace Medical is out of Baschetti, but it

is expected in the Spring.
