Tammy-

Do you recommend that monitor? Has it ever gone off when your baby was fine? I have heard of it and wanted to hear your take on it. I am guessing that you recommend it since you said it helps you sleep. Thank you for your opinion!!

Perhaps try foam or a different mattress. We bought a new mattress from healthychild.com and also use target 1 1/2 inch foam. My son did wear the DOC helmet for 9 weeks and we saw great improvement but continue to use the foam and new mattress with success. Good luck. Tammy

We also use the angel care monitor under the mattress that beeps if he stops breathing for 15 seconds. Just helps me sleep.

I have an angel care monitor. I used it for my son when he was born...a healthy baby, but it relaly helped my anxiety about sids...although he was a side sleeper, and on his belly by 12 weeks...

I have also used it with my daughter, and she has been a belly sleeper since 6 weeks... I have never had either one of my kids on their back, thats why I am so perplexed on how she got this?

The angel care monitor is awesome, I would recommend it to any mother! It has only gone off once on its own, only becasue my son started rolling over at 12 weeks, and once his body was off of the pad, it went off...It is very loud, but atleast it worked!

I used the angel care monitor when my son was in his bassinett in my room. It only has one pad that goes under the mattress to sense for the baby. When we moved him to the big crib we got a monitor called v sense at buy buy baby in new york. This monitor has two pads that cover the size of the regular crib. I have had it go off about 3 times since we have had it. This was because my son managed to get his body right where the two monitors were not able to read his breathing. It is rare that it will go off unless there is an issue. It is awesome. Loud when it does go off and very helpful to me so that I can sleep knowing he is breathing. So all in all angel care was great, heard they have a two pad unit now, when I got the first it only came with one. One pad underneath a big crib will not work however, the two pads with the v sense or new angel care are awesome. I tell friends that it is the one thing that I

would buy no matter the cost and I truly mean that! Tammy V sense has a battery system and angel care has battery and plug in. Good luck and buy it!!!!!!!!!
