Guest guest
A friend on another site referred me here and told me to ask for Val. I would be happy for help from any of the members here! Guys I just got my latest thyroid bloodwork in and I am a bit perplexed. I would really love some knowledgable feedback form you guys if at all possible. I have been on 3 grains of Armour thyroid for almost 1 year now. Symptomatically I still do not feel great. Body temp is sometimes below normal, fatigue, slight depression (also on SSRI), trouble losing weight, aches and pains. My current blood work is as follows: TSH 0.250 Range 0.350 - 5.500 uIU/mL Free T4 1.03 Range 0.61 - 1.76 ng/dL Free T3 2.9 Range 2.3 - 4.2 pg/mL With those type of results (low TSH but low to mid range free T's) I assume my problem could still be thyroid related? If so why are the blood levels still so low on 3 grains per day? Guest guest
You look like you're still on too low a dose. Historically, people have taken between 2-4 grains, but I've heard of people on up to 11 grains, so you just have to find what works for you. I would not increase, however, without first getting saliva labs to find out your cortisol levels. You can order your own labs for about $140+ if your own doctor won't do it from here: http://canaryclub.org/ Barb Vaccarelli wrote > > I have been on 3 grains of Armour thyroid for almost 1 year now. Guest guest
Some folk just need mroe thyroid than others! Yes your labs look low to me, and I prefer my TSH to be .1 or below as that is where it seems to reside when I feel my best. I have one friend that is up to 13 grain of Amroru a day! But i would think she has some resistance probelms there too. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
