Guest guest
I'm stage 3 and high cortisol all the time. My thyroid is good (now) and my temps are stable, and I'm tinkering with PS and Seriphos dosages to maximize nightime sleep and minimize daytime anxiety, so I'm fairly happy. My big question is: Is this enough to heal my adrenals, or is there something else I should do? BTW, what dosing works for others for dealing with all-day high cortisol? -Jen

Guest guest
Seriphos is a brand of Phospahtidyl Serine. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I would recommend B12 and sea salt as well as vitamin C all to support the adenals as they are being asked ot porduce more thwan they shoudl which wears them down. Ashwaganda and Rhodiola are also said to be helpful. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Val, you're working with me on high midnight and am cortisol. Am doing the PS Ashwaganda and Rhodiola, would you suggest adding the <<I would recommend B12 and sea salt as well as vitamin C all to support the adenals >> On STTM, amd reading about Selenium being necessary for body to process all Thyroid. Selenium comes up a lot on Candida Groups as well. kc in AZ
Guest guest
Selenium is needed to convert T4 to T3 if tajking Amrour I am not sure it is needed, but it is also said to lower antibodies so might be useful for Hashi people anyway. I am nto certain it is needed by adrenals though. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Thank you very much, Val! With your help, I'm sure I'll get there before long! I'm taking a multi, so I'll check the B12 and C in it, and supplement if necessary. Will also look into the sea salt, ashwaganda, and rhodiola. -Jen > > I would recommend B12 and sea salt as well as vitamin C all to support > the adenals as they are being asked ot porduce more thwan they shoudl > which wears them down. Guest guest
As Val said, it's a phospylated serine, but has no soy, which is an issue for some. It's cheaper than regular PS too. Also, my bottle of Seriphos says take only one a day, but the PS I can take up to three a day. Otherwise, I haven't seen any difference between them. -Jen > > > > I'm stage 3 and high cortisol all the time. Guest guest
Jen, The B-12 in your multi is not enough for a mouse nor is the C. Mice make their own VC if you make adjustments for body size the amount of VC a mouse makes make for itself in a day we would need 5,000 to 6,000 IU a day. Guest guest
LOL! Nice analogy! You're right. I should pick up more supplements. -Jen > > Jen, > > The B-12 in your multi is not enough for a mouse > nor is the C.
