Guest guest
Things get better every day. The biggest transition has been removing the helmet. Now he's helping us take it off. Tuesday was the longest day he'd worn it, and the first time it smelled. After it was off a few minutes, his head smelled like his shampoo. We were concerned about the helmet rubbing his ears. This morning we noticed the back of his ears are getting irritated. I'm not sure if I need to take him to the ortho before his 2 week follow-up. Guess I'll watch it. We're getting so much support from people around us. I didn't realize until last minute (with help from this board) that pullover shirts were out. We've had some people buy or loan us button down shirts. We haven't had questions from daycare. More help from teachers than anything. We've had a couple of people say he really looks cute. Some seniors and youth at church asked why he has to wear it. Our first time out, no one even looked at him. I hope no one is offended when I say ... I'm thankful for God helping us ... if you're deciding or just getting started ... be positive and expect the best!!!!!
