Guest guest
Hi everyone - new here from the realthyroidhelp forums. I'm hypothyroid with hashimoto's, and the problem is my adrenal function can't handle even the smallest amount of thyroid. I react extremely badly to hydrocortisone with severe, very weird depression and brain fog, and today I just tried the cream with the same results. I tolerate medrol fine, but last summer I had to take a dose pack for an allergic reaction and it trashed my stomach pretty bad. That's not completely healed even now, so I don't think I can take that, either. What I'm wondering is there is such a thing as medrol cream, or whether anyone has ever heard of medrol being compounded to take as a cream like with HC. Theoretically it seems to me it would work, but I've just never heard of it being done. It looks like there's a medrol cream with an antiobiotic in it, but I haven't seen one that's just plain medrol. I'm going to call the local compounding pharmacy tomorrow and see what they say, but I thought I would check here too in case anyone had any thoughts or specific knowledge about it. -Jeff
