Guest guest
I have lots more stomach noise and intestinal noise than I ever did before. As a matter of fact before the band I was a " stomach mute. " I think the noise is related to changes in the plumbing. However, I have the noise whether I am hungry or not. Carbonated beverages really set off a hurricane down there. Plus I have noise more at night, more when I lay down, more after drinking anything. I frequently get hiccups. I wonder if those of you with sleeping partners are getting any complaints. It keeps me awake sometimes -- course there is also a feeling with the noise - and sometimes acid reflux. I have also noted I never fart anymore -- not that I was a big gas passer to start with but this just never happens. I think I am burping so much more that there is no air in my system. Or it could be related to a decrease in the amount of meat I am eating or the volume of food or the recent antibiotics I had for a dental problem. I wonder if other people pay this much attention to their inner workings?
Guest guest
Dear Jessie, I rarely ever burp now since the lap band because all the wind passes through my " lower region " rivalling Al Bundy in that Department. My kids think I am wonderful but my husband thinks that women should not do that sort of thing, especially under the doona covers. Social occasions are quite painful for me at times and I have to let rip in the car afterwards. It is not something I aspire to but have no control over.
